Daniele Di Virgilio is an Italian Berlin-based composer and perpetual researcher. Conceiving composition as a multi-disciplinary and social-oriented expression, his music is inspired by a theatrical imagination and by the interest in psychoanalysis. Awarded by Krzysztof Penderecki, Pascal Dusapin and Magnus Lindberg, his works have been commissioned, performed and promoted by renowned ensembles and institutions, such as Mito Settembre Musica, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Fidelio Trio, JACK Quartet, Zone Experimentale Basel, Divertimento Ensemble, Peter Eötvös Foundation, Riga “Ave Sol” Chamber Choir, Avanti! Chamber Orchestra, impuls Festival.
